Kavitha Karunakaran is a software engineer with 15+ years of experience designing resilient, high-scale backend and infrastructure systems. She has contributed to global organizations including Hewlett Packard, Deloitte, Robert Bosch, State Bank of India, and Upsun (formerly Platform.sh), delivering platform-level improvements across global product environments and regulated banking systems.
Her expertise spans complex distributed systems challenges including resource isolation, container orchestration, high availability, and storage architecture. She brings deep hands-on experience in Java, Go, and Python, along with a strong interest in Rust, combined with architectural thinking and cross-functional influence.
